How do those of you with "musical taste and maturity" view the artist Example? Is he legit, is he a joke, is he teeny-bopper pop?
Thoughts?
I ask, because he guested on PSB's Thursday, and there are a few songs of his that have caught my attention. But, I don't want to diminish my credibility without getting a little more info on the guy....
Think he errs to the side of teeny bopper pop (as you put it). Not my thing but he has his place. Don't worry about credibility though, I gave up worrying what other people think a long time ago. Their problem, not yours. (Great blog by the way)
ReplyDeleteExample is ok to be honest. Listenable music, he seems to have a grounding in 80s synth pop which comes through his music. I wouldn't turn it off if it came on the radio.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say he's a teeny-bopper, but definitely on the pop side of dance music.
