Depeche Mode - The Reaps Mixes - Volume One

Because I was gone for work, and missed my Tuesday post, I am giving you this extra post tonight.  It's the Reaps mixes of DM from 2012.  All are awesome, and you should get a kick out of the modern interpretations.  They are all worthy of the DM name.  Hope you enjoy!

  2. by the way, I bet you can somehow turn this new Def Leppard 5xCD into a more cohesive 2xCD and maybe also improve upon the artwork by putting bevel effects on the bars to create a 3D effect but leaving the face untoucht (just an idea):

  3. Seconding Marty's post from back in September. For a long, long time now DM has been... *sigh* that's the phrase, isn't it? has been, their officially released mixes included.

Never thought I'd say this, either but these remixes just took a band the music reviewers loved calling "dark" and pushed it completely into the blackness. If Depeche Mode was the kind of band that got signed to Metropolis Records, they'd sound like this. I'd love to see The Reaps re-interpret their entire set of studio albums and some of the better B-sides.

That last remixs of "Clean" is... mind-blowing. It's not even a song anymore. Entirely transformed into the kind of tone poem an "Industrial Depeche Mode" would used for pre-concert intros, much like the way Pimpf was.
